MT. ROSE — On Tuesday at 4:12 p.m., the Nevada Highway Patrol was notified of a commercial motor vehicle accident on SR 431, west of the Tannenbaum Event Center.  The vehicle, operated by Lakeside Transportation, was traveling to Reno from Incline Village. As it rounded a bend in the roadway, it rolled onto its right side. The trailer dumped its load of dirt, wood and other debris onto the roadway.  This was the location as a similar accident that occurred on July 26.  Fortunately, the Nevada Department of Transportation had completed repairs to the guardrail earlier in the day.

The driver of the semi-truck, Lewis Sologub, was cited for speeding.

The Mt. Rose Highway was reduced to one lane of traffic in order to investigation and clean up the accident scene.

Witnesses to this accident or anyone with additional information should contact the Department of Public Safety Communication Center at 687-0400, regarding case NHP case No. 1008031547.
