In addition, Gardnerville-based comedienne and Reno/Carson/Tahoe eWomen member Kat Simmons provided the surprise entertainment for the conference’s second day. Simmons was the winner of the eWomen’s Got Talent Contest in 2009 and was asked to return in 2010 with her acclaimed and hilarious commentaries on contemporary womanhood.
In addition, three Reno/Carson/Tahoe eWomenNetwork members were finalists for awards at the conference. Sydney Parker, marketing and communications director at Klaraos, a financial services company based in Incline Village, was one of 11 young women recognized as finalists for the 2010 Emerging Leader Award. Alice Heiman, president of Alice Heiman, LLC, and Glenna E. Smith, president and CEO of Referral Institute of Nevada, were contenders for the 2010 Business Matchmaker Award, recognizing eWomenNetwork members who consistently extend their time and talents to help others succeed. Two area eWomen members also were presenters at the conference: business-building author and speaker Loral Langemeier and business coach and Fresh Buzz Tribe founder Chris Williams.
