SPARKS –– Sparks police officers, as well as members of the Sparks Police Mounted Unit, will be doing another Tip-A-Cop fundraiser for Special Olympics Nevada on April 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Red Robin at 4712 Galleria Pkwy. in Sparks.

Proceeds from the Tip-A-Cop program help provide year-round sports training and competition opportunities for about 4,000 youth and adult Special Olympic athletes in Nevada. All funds raised remain local and benefit Nevada residents.

During the Tip-A-Cop fundraiser in March, officers raised $3,026, the most raised in the state. Officers hope to outdo that mark during the upcoming event.
