RENO – Thursday at about 3:15 p.m., a 59-year-old man who is undergoing treatment for cancer was in his apartment in the 500 block of Sadlier Way. Because of the treatment, he gets hot easily and had his front door open to let in the cool air. The alleged robber came up to the front door and asked for a drink of water. When the victim returned with the water the suspect entered the apartment and drew a knife while demanding money. The victim gave the suspect his wallet containing a small amount of cash and the victim’s ID. The suspect then fled and was last seen running westbound on Highland Aveune from Valley Road. He is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, 5 feet 11 inches, with a thin build and short hair. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap on backwards, a red and white winter jacket, a long white T-shirt that hung to his mid-thigh, baggy blue jeans and red and white shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
