Anyone born in Nevada will be honored for Nevada Day at the Sparks Heritage Museum. Today and Saturday the museum will be offering free admission to Nevada natives. The Sparks Heritage Museum

is a great place to learn about the history of the Truckee meadows and the

influence the railroad had on the development of Sparks.

The museum is currently featuring a special collection of antique irons, an unusual collection of miniature shoes and of course for Halloween - a pictorial

depiction of Nevada’s ghost towns. Sparks Heritage Museum is located at

814 Victorian Avenue, Sparks. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

and Saturdays 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Guided tours are on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

For information call 355-1144.
